The answer to this question is maybe. Some of our oldest modems will not be able to handle the new speeds and will need to be replaced. Until 11/15/2008, any modem which does not support your new service plan will be replaced free of charge provided that you have at least 18 months left on your existing service contract. After 11/15/2008, there will be a $99.95 modem upgrade charge. If necessary, you may extend your service contract.

After your upgrade order is received by technical support, you will be notified if an upgrade is required. Most clients will not need a replacement modem.
